Help & FAQ

Everything you need to scan, identify, grade and collect with Pikrmint. Can't find an answer? Email support@pikrmint.com.

Getting started

What is Pikrmint?+

Pikrmint is an AI-powered collecting companion for trading cards and sports cards. Scan a card with your phone and Pikrmint identifies it, estimates its market value and helps you organise it into a collection and portfolio. Along the way you earn XP, unlock achievements and can climb opt-in leaderboards.

How do I scan my first card?+

Open the app, tap Scan, and photograph the card. For the best results:

  • Use good, even light and avoid strong glare on the card surface.
  • Keep the full card inside the frame — edges and corners matter.
  • Hold the phone steady and parallel to the card.

Pikrmint will identify the card, show its set, number and rarity, and estimate its value. You then decide whether to add it to your collection. You can re-open the in-app guide any time from Account Settings → Show app guide again.

Which games and cards are supported?+

Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece and sports cards. Graded slabs from PSA, BGS, CGC and SGC are recognised too — scan the slab and Pikrmint reads the label, so you skip the condition questions.

Scanning

What is the difference between Fast Scan and Complete Scan?+

Fast Scan photographs the front of the card and identifies it: name, set, number, rarity and current market value. It's available on every plan and is the quickest way to catalogue cards.

Complete Scan (paid plans) is the full inspection flow: front and back, corners, edges, surface and centering — producing an AI condition grade with a detailed breakdown, plus an authenticity verdict on Collector+.

How do I scan a graded slab?+

Just scan the slab like a normal card. Pikrmint detects PSA, BGS, CGC and SGC slabs, reads the label and records the grade for you — no condition questions needed. The slab's grade is treated as authoritative for the card's value.

Why wasn't my card identified?+

Glare, heavy shadows, cropped edges or worn print can defeat the reader. Try again with better light and the full card in frame. If it still misses, the app offers close artwork suggestions you can pick from, or you can search the catalogue by name. Foreign-language cards (including Japanese and Chinese) are supported, but very reflective holos may need a couple of attempts.

How many scans do I get?+

The Free plan includes 40 scans every month (the counter resets monthly — the app shows a live “scans left” chip). Pro and Collector+ include unlimited scans.

Collection, portfolio and values

What's the difference between Collection, Portfolio and Wishlist?+

Collection is every card you've catalogued. Portfolio is the subset you own and track for value — it powers the home value chart and analytics. Wishlist is cards you want but don't own; wishlist items never count toward your portfolio value.

Where do card values come from?+

When a card is identified against the catalogue, its value comes from real market pricing (Cardmarket and TCGplayer data), adjusted for the card's condition. Values are normalised to euros for your portfolio total and converted to your display currency.

When a card can't be identified, the app shows a clearly labelled rough estimate instead. If you record what you actually paid, your own price always takes priority in your portfolio total.

Is the projected value a real valuation?+

No — and it isn't meant to be. Your collection value is the live market-based total. The Projected Value shown in Insights (Collector+) is a separate trend extrapolation of where your portfolio could be heading over the chosen horizon (90 days by default), with an explicit confidence label. It's a trend line, not a promise.

Is the AI grade official?+

No. Pikrmint provides AI-assisted condition estimates and grading guidance. It's useful for sorting, tracking and deciding what to submit, but it doesn't replace PSA, BGS, CGC or another professional grader.

Plans, certificates and billing

What do the plans include?+
  • Free (€0) — 40 scans/month, Fast Scan identification, portfolio and collection tracking, the full XP/achievements game and shareable result cards.
  • Pro (€4.99/month or €39.99/year) — unlimited scans, Complete Scan condition grading with detailed breakdown, AI grading assistant, collection analytics, historical pricing, alerts, reports and exports, premium cosmetics, 2 certificates/month.
  • Collector+ (€9.99/month or €79.99/year) — everything in Pro plus real/fake authenticity verification, portfolio forecasting, valuation history, investment analytics, insurance-ready reports and 5 certificates/month.
What are certificates?+

A certificate is a shareable, verifiable snapshot of a scanned card — its identity, condition and estimated value at the time of the scan, with its own public verification link. Pro includes 2 per month, Collector+ includes 5. Additional certificates can be purchased in the app for €1.99 each.

How do I cancel or change my plan?+

Manage your plan from the app's subscription screen. Payments are processed by Stripe; cancelling stops future renewals and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

XP, achievements and community

How do I earn XP?+

Scan and keep cards, complete daily challenges, unlock achievements, complete sets and share milestones. XP is value-weighted but leaderboard arenas for achievements, sets and XP are deliberately money-neutral — rank there is earned by collecting, never by spending.

What are World Firsts?+

Be the first collector on Pikrmint to scan a particular card and the claim stays attached to your profile.

Who can see my profile and collection?+

You control this. In Account Settings you can toggle whether others can find your profile, whether your activity appears in followers' feeds, and whether you appear on leaderboards (opt-in, showing your username and the board's metric only — never your full name).

Account and data

I forgot my password.+

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We'll email you a one-time code to set a new password.

How do I delete my account?+

Account Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated data, including scans and collection history. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Which languages does the app support?+

English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese.

My scan seems stuck.+

Most scans complete in seconds; a heavy queue can occasionally take longer. Pull to refresh, and if a scan stays pending, simply start a new one — abandoned scans are cleaned up automatically and unfinished scans don't consume your quota unfairly. Still stuck? Email us.
